travel is a shot in the arm

Hi there and happy weekend!

Such a busy week!  A new year, a new semester... lots on the go!  Is it really mid-January already ???

But Sal and I made time for an appointment at a travel medicine clinic to get our vaccinations and prescriptions to prep for our trip to Costa Rica... Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B, Typhoid Fever, Malaria ...and (not to be indelicate), some meds for the can't-be-ignored "Montezuma's Revenge".  I'd say we're well-protected now... but it wasn't without discomfort (they had a big jar of lollipops there, probably to soothe children... and wimps like me, LOL!).  My love of travel trumps my aversion to needles.  Oh, the things I do to see the world !!!

Hello everyone!

Hope 2013 is off to a fabulous start for you?

First, a birthday shout-out to my Dad... happy birthday, Daddy!  :-)

Sal and I spent the first day of the year relaxing, enjoying life.  If not then, when?  Spent much of the morning cuddling with Buddy & Aruba, one of my favorite things to do!  Then we went to the beach, where I promptly took a nap to recover from staying up so late on New Year's Eve.  ;-) 

The parking lot was full of Quebec license plates... Canadians were soaking up the Delray Beach sun!

Afterwards, we had a fabulous dinner at our favorite Greek restaurant before heading to see Jersey Boys. 

Loved it, so entertaining! So much talent!  Been wanting to see it for years, and finally did.  Thank you, Sal, for going with me... (musicals aren't his thing).

Here's to another great year ahead ... as always, thanks for joining me here at Where In The World? !!
